The Tewa Lodge in Albuquerque, New Mexico is another one of the signs I actively sought out on our Route 66 adventure. I had seen pictures of this sign before and thought it looked really compelling. We drove down the old highway to find it and as always it was not where your average tourist wants to stay anymore, but could be home to day workers or other “professionals”. I guess that’s the sad truth about so many of the old motel signs along Route 66. I must give the owners of this place credit though for doing such a nice job of preserving this fabulous sign.
