Tee Pee Curios in Tucumcari, New Mexico is too fabulous and a must-stop photo op for anyone cruising The Mother Road! Originally built in 1944, it was a Gulf gas station, grocery store, and (big surprise) souvenir shop. When the road was widened in 1959 the cement teepee entrance was added, the pumps removed and the beautiful neon sign installed. Not sure who owns it right now, but rest assured it has been in good hands all these years and we hope it will stay open for many years to come. Of course, lots of great treasures you can purchase to take home to friends and family, waiting inside.
