I’ve been seeing pictures of the Palomino Motel sign in Tucumcari, New Mexico for a number of years and couldn’t wait to get there and take a few of my own. It must be a real dive at this point (rooms for $23.95 – such a deal!) but the sign is without question one of my all-time favorites. So wish I could spend a night in this town to take pictures of these signs at night, sparkling in their neon splendor. That’s going to have to wait for the “extended” Route 66 trip at some point in the future!
