Montana Charlie’s Little American Flea Market

Not long after you work your way out of the suburban Chicago maze of highways, you’ll find yourself on what’s starting to look like Route 66 and be greeted by the delightful Montana Charlie’s Little American Flea Market. This oversized rooster was one of the first kitschy sights we came to and I breathed a big sigh of relief to know our adventure on this great American roadway had finally begun. (Needless to say, Chicago traffic congestion, and roadway detours did not make that part of the trip enjoyable.) Sadly, we were not there on the weekend, so I took a quick shot or two and we kept moving along, anticipating the journey ahead on the famous Mother Road.
