28 Sep Landscape near Acoma, New Mexico
Our group, The Ride for the Relay, stayed at the big Indian reservation casino in Acoma, New Mexico one night. Lots of the folks enjoyed the big buffet and playing the slots and gambling. Wasn’t really my cup of tea, but it was a comfortable place to spend the night. We were up and early the next day and driving toward Arizona on Route 66 (or it’s equivalent freeway I-40 out in this vast desert area). The landscape was so beautiful in the morning light. I love this picture which shows one of the reasons artists have loved painting these scenes. Thank you Georgia O’Keefe!
