The Cowboy Motel is located on the old historic stretch of Route 66 just as you’re coming into Amarillo. This sign just screamed at me for the kitsch value alone! What could be more perfect than a place for cowboys to rest their little heads when they’re riding through this big panhandle town? (Sadly, from the looks of the place, not too many cowboys were staying here anymore!
