05 Oct Abandoned Drive-in
One of the sad realities when you travel the entire distance of Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles, is the number of abandoned businesses and buildings. This abandoned drive-in was just west of Amarillo, Texas in a section where there were a number of other ramshackle structures. Your mind can’t help but want to travel back to the times when this route was flourishing and all these businesses were teaming with customers. Looks like it’s been a very long time along this stretch of highway.
