Route 66 Ranch House Cafe

On our 2014 Route 66 road trip across America, one thing that stood out immediately was the number of abandoned buildings and cars scattered along the historic Mother Road. This tableau is seen over and over again as to be almost ubiquitous. Fortunately in the past 20 or so years, so much attention has been paid to this classic route, that many preservation associations have been formed and people are rallying to save some of the more prominent establishments and especially beautiful neon signs. This is heartwarming to those of us who are in love with the route.
