The Ranch House Cafe along this desolate stretch of Route 66 west of Amarillo, Texas must have been a fun place back in the day. Sadly, we witnessed a huge number of defunct businesses and abandoned properties along this one stretch of road. When the big interstate came along through the Panhandle, there were a huge number of casualties in these small outposts, as people could blast through this lonely area without stopping They sure had a nice sign though. And what’s up with that funky truck?
