On the Ganges, reality was in flux,
a moving world of mysterious shapes
emerging in and out of fog and smoke.
Colorful boats, people chanting, paddling,
candles floating on water,
then receding into nothingness.
The fog embraces the light,
just as the soul of the river
embraces the souls moving into eternity.
