The act of cutting or tearing paper and bits of miscellaneous things and pasting them onto paper may be one of the oldest art forms! All we have to do is think back to grammar school and making Valentines or holiday cards to take home to Mom and Dad! I started fooling around seriously with collage in an art therapy group in the 1980’s where we created collages from what we were feeling in the moment.
