06 Oct Avalon Hotel is Classic Miami Beach
The Avalon is a classic Miami Beach hotel. I spent a few days here several years ago and while walking around at night was particularly taken by the Avalon. It makes me happy in so many ways starting with the classic deco lines of the place. The sign itself is perfect in its simplicity and the elegant font. And of course the vintage car sitting out front just takes the cake. (By the way, this is one of their favorite decor enhancers as you drive the length Route 66! The more vintage cars the better!) I’ve tried to find out more history on the place, but the current management hasn’t posted much and I’ll need to do some more digging.
