COLLAGE-URBATION
“Collage-urbation” (the act of artfully playing with myself) was a project I invented to create a collage a day for one month. The idea simply was to open a page in my journal, gather materials together that “spoke to me” in the moment, and put them together into a collage. I often came in after the images were affixed on the paper and colored areas with oil pastels or colored pencils. It was fascinating to see where each of these images took me as it evolved, as there was no thought given to it in advance. I still marvel at how fresh many of these images seem! It was a fun project.
